3D inspection of automobile engine block

An engine manufacturer in Chengdu needs to perform three-dimensional inspection of automobile engine cylinders. The company uses a three-dimensional scanner independently developed and produced by Hualang, combined with three-dimensional inspection engineering software, to obtain accurate three-dimensional data of the engine cylinder. Use the overall data of the engine block to compare the data with the original CAD model, see that the overall data of the engine block is actually scanned, and analyze whether the finished product is qualified.

Practical problem

1. Since the automobile engine cylinder block involves the connection with multiple parts of the engine, the accuracy required by the customer is very high.

2. The automobile engine cylinder has the characteristics of complex shape, large surface changes, and many holes. The traditional measurement method is very time-consuming and the data is not accurate enough.

Three-dimensional inspection and design software converts engine point cloud data into triangular mesh data + Pro/E, UG and other mainstream design software for post-processing.
