Scanning case of PLA helmet and goggles

Holon3d engineers use the camera-based 3D scanner "3DMV+" to perform three-dimensional scanning of military helmet goggles. Customers need to use the scanning to obtain high-precision 3D data of military helmet goggles for the application of microwave digital transmission equipment and to better formulate improvement plans. 

Practical problems

The traditional measurement method has insufficient data collection density (insufficient amount of data). The internal structure of the goggles is relatively complex, and the curved surfaces and arcs on the military helmet goggles cannot be accurately measured, and the reverse drawing cannot be performed in the later stage. The workload is large, the efficiency is low, and the accuracy is low. It is not high and does not meet customer requirements, which increases the difficulty of using reverse design for product development and design in the later stage.

Holon  solutions

In order to shorten the development cycle and reduce the development cost of the People's Liberation Army helmet goggles, Hualang 3D proposed a solution based on the problems faced by customers: using industrial-grade 3D scanners (3DMV+) to obtain the 3D data of the helmet goggles. The three-dimensional scanner has the characteristics of extremely fast scanning speed, high precision, simple operation and strong stability. During the scanning process, the software automatically spliced the 3D data through the mark points. In less than 30 minutes, the 3D data of the helmet and goggles were completely acquired. Customers can import the scanned 3D data into the software to fit the SLT triangle mesh surface, and import the 3D design software for reverse design. The secondary design and improvement of the product improves efficiency and saves costs.
