Three-dimensional scanning case of precision instrument switch

2021-07-29 A+ A A-

Whirlpool, one of the world's largest manufacturers of white goods, needs to perform three-dimensional scanning of precision instrument switches to obtain high-precision three-dimensional data, improve product secondary development efficiency, save costs, and shorten the development cycle of new products.

Practical problems

1. The size of the precision instrument switch is small, the shape is complex and irregular, the grooves on each surface are different, and there are many dead angle holes. There are more three-dimensional dimensions that need to be measured, which brings great difficulty to the traditional measurement work.

2. The use of traditional measurement methods is very cumbersome, time-consuming, and insufficient data collection (insufficient data), gap calipers cannot be measured, accuracy is difficult to guarantee, it is impossible to perform normal measurements on precision instrument switches, and cannot meet customer needs.

Holon solutions

In view of the small and complex shape of the precision instrument switch, and the many blind holes, Hualang 3D technical engineers proposed a solution: use the camera-type 3D scanner HL-3DX+ to quickly scan to obtain the 3D data of the precision instrument switch. The scanning process is not only fast, With high accuracy, convenient operation and short time-consuming, it meets the scanning needs of customers and successfully solves the problems faced by customers.
